Where Are You Now
04:32
|
|||
I'm a soul without a body
I'm a little boy lost in a crowd of busy people
I'm floating along in this endless void of time
I'm a rain drop, in an endless river
Where are you now?
When the leaves now dead, lay on the ground
When the pendulum ceases to swing past four
When the oceans waves, shew no more
When autumns color, is silenced by snow.
Where are you now?
Oh son you set upon my empty sorrow
A beam of light, tranquil in the evening breeze
I could sing a thousand songs of my transgressions
but non could show my pain, my longing for what was
Where are you now?
When the leaves now dead lay on the ground
When all hope becomes a withered vine
When kingdoms crumble and empires fall
When all is one and one is all
Where are you now?

Nightmare
04:32

Where the world comes crashing down
Near the sunny beaches in your head
I will visit you, as a mist
a fairy tale in your sleep
Like a shadow lurking near
like ice "I" will caress your spine
and in that dream where you feel comfort
beads of sweat will drip from within
Lie, in your nightmare
scream, be afraid
Chained and afflicted
tonight I will be near
Shivering as I breath into your ear
I will cast out all the angels that grant you ward
your greatest fears are five fold
pray that morning will bless your soul
Lie, in your nightmare
scream, be afraid
chained and afflicted
tonight I will be near

Changing Tide
03:22
|
|||
Just sitting here alone, beneath a gray halo of regret and remorse.
As I observe the city lights, washed out by the cold, dark rain.
Look at all the lonely people playing into their mundane lives.
Pretty dresses and new steam-cleaned suits,
trusting their security to a thin, polyester plight.
How everything loses color
All we have gained is washed away
with the changing tide
The darkness falls heavy on my empty cold, stale, stone estate.
The writing on the wall reveals grim, I'm wishing I had a clean slate.
Stepping out the back door unveils my naked truth.
Showered in the elements, I wash away my dark youth.
How everything loses color
all we have gained is washed away
with the changing tide

Confession
03:32
|
|
||
As I lay here in this bed
Thinking of all the words unsaid
I left you stranded, searching for answers
Never showed you how I shattered your perfect world
I loved you at times you were my friend
and tried to forgive all the times you screamed
You were jealous, eccentric
selfish, controlling
driving me mad, till I felt no love at all

All Night Long
04:24

Sitting on my car, Just playing my guitar.
Strumming my tunes, beneath a big pale moon
With my lady by my side, I've got this feeling I just can't hide
So I strum another chord, in reverence of our love.
I can't run away from this feeling, inside.
It's what fuels me throughout the night.
Give me my guitar and I'll play you a song,
Yes, I'll sing you a song.
Baby, you can dance to it, all night long.
Way up ahead of us gleams the newborn sun
Fears of yesterday assuage and become undone
Yet one voice will soar the love song will stand
so take care my love and lets fly hand in hand
I can't run away from this feeling, inside.
It's what fuels me throughout the night.
Give me my guitar and I'll play you a song,
Yes, I'll sing you a song.
Baby, you can dance to it, all night long.

Memories

Memories,
of a time not so long ago.
Lying there,
Beneath the falling stars.
I touch your face
as you gently say...
Love, I love you
But what was then, cannot be now.
For all that was, now dream and sound.
But when I lay, my head to rest.
My thoughts still drift, to your sweet caress.
